Almatec Maschinenbau GmbH is a premium manufacturer of air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps and a company which has successfully combined a worldwide presence\u00a0with proximity to the end-user.<\/em><\/p>\n

The MM Series air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps have specifically been designed to meet the strict standards, regulations and operational requirements that govern the food and beverage industry thanks to their use of food-grade wetted materials and a construction that provides easy cleaning.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>The pump design is reflected in the name \u201cMM\u201d, as it refers to \u201cmodular metal\u201d. The modularity allows to easily exchanging the connection pieces to the standard the customer requires \u2013 a frequent topic in hygienic applications.<\/em><\/p>\n

The MM Series\u2019 housing is made from stainless steel 1.4404 (SS316L) and the pump\u2019s wetted surfaces are available with a surface roughness of max. 3.2 \u00b5m. An optional version with a surface roughness of 0.8 \u00b5m is also available. The MM Series\u2019 materials and design enable clean-in-place (CIP) and sanitize-in-place (SIP) capability. All the pump\u2019s materials comply with the hygienic standards of the FDA, and pumps equipped with PTFE diaphragms and ball valves also comply with EC1935\/2004. In addition, the pumps are ATEX conforming according to the 2014\/34\/EU directive.<\/em><\/p>\n

The pump is also available with different hygienic manifold options. Inlet and outlet orientation can easily be adjusted between \u201cU-Shape\u201d (inlet and outlet on the same side) and \u201cZ-Shape\u201d (inlet and outlet at opposite side). The connection options are:<\/em><\/p>\n

The three pump sizes \u2013 MM 15, MM 25 and MM 40 \u2013 achieve maximum capacities of 3.5 \/ 9.2 \/ 20 m\u00b3\/h (15.4 \/ 40 \/ 88 gpm) resp., maximum discharge pressure up to 7 bar (100 psig) and a short-term temperature range up to 130 \u00b0C (266 \u00b0F) for cleaning processes.<\/em><\/p>\n
