POLYMERCARBID: NEARLY AS HARD AS DIAMONDS: 9,0 MOHS FOR CHALLENGING PUMPING APPLICATIONS

Rheinhütte Pumpen has added its extensive pump programme -based on metals, plastics and ceramics- to a new material. With the new composite material Polymercarbid you now have even more flexibility in the choice of materials – especially in particularly difficult applications with chemically aggressive media.

As experts in corrosion and wear resistant materials we offer process and media-specific solutions. We will select the right mater conveyance requirement and will ensure minimum wear during long operational life – even when handling difficult media.

ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE

WEAR RESISTANT

Due to its extreme hardness (up to 9.0 Mohs) Polymercarbid is highly wear resistant in solid-loaded fluids. With its superior resistance to solids this material is clearly superior to all plastics – even UHMW polyethylene, all metallic materials and also many ceramic materials.

HIGHLY CORROSION RESISTANT

Especially in applications where corrosive fluids like hydrochloric acid is pumped, Polymercarbid shows superior chemical resistance. In alkaline and fluoride media this high performance material meets the highest demands too.

ECONOMIC LIFE CYCLE COSTS

The high-quality and exceptionally reliable properties of Polymercarbid have a positive effect on the lifetime of your pumps. Longer durations lead to a more economical operation, thereby minimizing life cycle costs significantly.

Polymercarbid: The more cost-effective material compared with other conventional materials in the long run, especially in applications with high wear and tear.
